Festival of the Grape
The Festival of the Grape is held each fall at the Oliver Recreation Centre area on McKinney Rd. near the Oliver Arena and Curling Club to celebrate the grape harvest.
Oliver’s Festival of the Grape is an event put on by the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce with the help of over 100 dedicated volunteers. It is a very popular annual event, attracting an estimated 3,500 attendees from all over the western provinces and western states and even from the UK. Visitors come to taste wine from over 50 wineries, enjoy live music from the grandstand, shop in the market area and either compete in, or watch competitors in the traditional Grape Stomp. In addition to all that, there is a kids zone and there are local artisans displaying their creations in the in the Art Gallery section.
2016 marks the 20th Anniversary of the FOG and this year the Chamber has partnered with the Oliver Tourism Association and we are excited to report that the festival is shaping up to be its best one yet!
Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 2 and plan on joining us from 12:00 – 5:00. It will be a fabulous afternoon to sample wine, food and shop the market and gallery while listening to some great music. Check out the website for all the details. www.oliverfestivalofthegrape.com
