Located in the Okanagan’s premier grape region, Gehringer Brothers is nestled in the heart of the well-known Golden Mile area south of Oliver. It is tucked in among several neighbouring wineries, overlooking an expanse of vineyard and orchards as far as Osoyoos Lake. The vineyard’s southeast aspect and gentle slopes give the vines excellent exposure to sunshine, while the elevated location on the bench keeps the vines safely above the Fall frost zone. The high mountain slopes behind the vineyards to the west provide evening shade, resulting in a rapid cool-off during summer, which is turn prevents the grape acids from dropping. That is what shapes the Gehringer style: a fine balance between ripe, sweet fruit and firm, clean acidity.
