Take a Closer Look at Your Chamber Part II

As we continue to invite you to get connected with us and 'Take a Closer Look at Your Chamber' we are happy to share with you that we have our second Coffee Connections planned for September 16 at 8:00 am at Murphy's Pub in Oliver.  Our guests are MLA Linda Larson, Mayor Ron Hovanes, and Okanagan Corrections Warden Steve Dicastri.  They will give us an update from their offices and then we will open it up for a Question and Answer period.   Big thank you to Oliver Daily News for sponsoring this event and helping us give our businesses a forum to connect with leaders in our region.  Visit our Coffee Connections page for more details. 

A few more highlights for you to have a look at are:

• Our first Member Story with Okanagan Stoneworks turned out to be a hit!  We have added two more to our Member Stories page on our website and we encourage you to get to know your local businesses.  This time we feature California Day in Osoyoos and Ok Photo Lab in Oliver.  If you have got a great story to tell get in touch with us.  
• We have got our Ambassador Program started and are happy to welcome Veronica Vinge to our team.  Check out our volunteer page for information about her and what we are putting together to better serve our members.   
• October is Small Business month so keep your eye out for what we are doing to celebrate locally.  We will be touring our communities and visiting with our businesses to find out their challenges, successes and seeing where we can help. 
• Our Advocacy Committee will be getting ready to meet in the fall so if there are issues that need to brought to the attention of our politicians then we want to hear about them.
