The Play that Goes Wrong at Venables ...Description
This play has been described as a mash-up between Agatha Christie and Monty Python!
You all know the classic whodunit story: There has been a murder at a country manor and an inspector is set on the case to find who the culprit is. However, when this plot of The Murder at Haversham Manor is given to the accident-prone thespians at The Cornley Drama Society, everything that can go wrong… does! The actors and crew battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Do you ever find out who murdered Charles Haversham? You’ll have to see for yourself!
The Play That Goes Wrong opened in London in 2012, where it won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards. Since 2014, the play has undertaken five tours of the UK, and a Broadway production ran from 2017–2019 and then continued off-Broadway.
