'The Rays' at Venables Theatre

Formed in late 2022, The Rays blend influences from classic rock, reggae, and ska to create music that will get your toes tapping and make you want to get up and move. This South Okanagan based four piece band has two lead singers and plays a mix of cover songs and originals.
Their catchy original music has been described as reggae inspired folk with acoustic rhythms held down by walking baselines and rock steady beats.

Loosely Tight is currently a four piece made up of Brent Toepfer on guitar and vocals, Wayne Holoboff on guitar and vocals, Brian McDonald on harmonica and vocals and just recently Brian Dragseth on drums.
Loosely tight formed around 5-6 years ago when Brent put an ad out looking for anyone else who was tired of jamming in the basement by themselves, Wayne replied and they hit it off thus forming Loosely Tight.
The name is stolen from an interview with Jimmy Page, in which he said, in reference to Led Zeppelin, “the band was tight, yet loose. Loosely tight.”
