The Customer Service Insurance Agent role supports Interior Saving’s vision by developing valuable long-term relationships with clients, pro-actively determining and filling their insurance needs and providing them sound advice with high quality, tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs.
This position is located in beautiful South Okanagan, BC—a great place to start your career, raise a family or embrace everything that interior BC has to offer. This region is ideal for someone who loves being outdoors and exploring nature or visiting the incredible local wineries and enjoying all that it has to offer. There are spectacular views anywhere you look, trails for hiking and biking, quiet lakes and plenty of warm, welcoming communities to call home. South Okanagan also has some of the best weather in the country with plenty of sunshine.
This role maintains personal lines business, pro-actively sells and services personal and Autoplan products. Responsible to process client renewals, handles potential problem renewals, solicits, maintains and follows up on expiring client policies for cross-selling and account development purposes, and informs clients of upgrades on products and services. Proactively manage client relationships; pursue internal opportunities, referrals, and external business growth opportunities. Foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge. Actively solicits referrals to commercial lines representatives, wealth management specialists and credit union sales staff; cross sells all agency and credit union products to insurance clients. Referrals of more complex insurance requests to the Branch Manager or designate. Maintains established procedures with respect to confidentiality, negotiable items, cash transactions, equipment and surroundings to meet safety, legal, and procedural requirements. Develop and maintain a strong image within the community. Maintains a professional standard of conduct at all times while promoting a positive image of the Insurance Agency and its’ affiliates. Other duties as assigned; assist other staff as required.
Experience
Required- Good comprehension of all personal and autoplan insurance products and services.
- 2 - 4 years: Job related experience in an insurance agency selling personal lines.
Education
Required- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 3 or better
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 2 or better
- Fundamentals of Insurance or better
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 1 or better
- High School Diploma or better
Licenses & Certifications
Required- Level 2 Insurance License
