Ski Lift Operator (Seasonal)

The Lift Operator is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient use of our lifts for our guests and employees in a courteous, professional manner. As well as perform various other outdoor duties.

Primary Responsibilities

Guest Safety

• Ensure that guests are safely loaded onto our lifts
• Be vigilant for identifying and preventing lift related incidents
• Know the Alpine Responsibility Code

Guest Service

• Ensure that all guests have a valid lift pass
• Know lift opening and closing times
• Ensure proper lift use by our guests and staff

Lift Operation

• Know and follow safe operating procedures
• Know and follow opening and closing procedures
• Understand lift function

Emergency Procedures

• Know and follow emergency operating procedures as per training and lift manual
• Carry out duties as required by supervisor/managers

Reporting

• Complete required Lift log documentation prior to opening of lift
• Ensure data is accurate and complete
• Document all stops and unusual occurrences

Equipment

• Know how to use tools properly
• Maintain lift huts and surrounding areas
• Use lift phones and radios appropriately
• Clean and maintain uniform regularly

Miscellaneous

• Ski racks, benches and tables
• Snow removal around lifts, buildings, decks and entrances
