• South Okanagan Chamber Executive Director Appointed to Regional Economic Development Advisory Panel

    November 2026 | Chamber News

The South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce is pleased to share that Executive Director Christina Brown has been appointed to the newly established Regional Economic Development Advisory Panel, a joint initiative between the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) and the City of Penticton.

The eight-member panel brings together business and community leaders to help guide economic development priorities across the South Okanagan-Similkameen. As part of a three-year regional collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen partnerships, support local businesses, attract investment, and address regional workforce and economic challenges.

Through her participation, Brown looks forward to bringing a South Okanagan business perspective to regional discussions, helping ensure the unique needs and opportunities of communities like Kaleden, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, and Osoyoos are considered in broader economic planning.

    Strengthening Our Regional Voice

Advocacy is a key part of the Chamber's mandate. By participating in regional initiatives like this, the Chamber can strengthen relationships, contribute local insight, and support a more coordinated approach to economic development.

We look forward to sharing updates as this work progresses and continuing to advocate for a strong, resilient South Okanagan business community.
