2021 Membership Updates and Renewals
It’s been a crazy year, hasn’t it? We know you’ve all had to make regular changes and some of you have had several challenges and many ups and downs. We have also had to get creative here at the Chamber and thankfully we have a great network to tap into. Helping small businesses in small communities is now more crucial than ever, and your support of the Chamber is helping to make things happen in our region.
What’ve we been up to?
We’re known for our networking and although we can’t do this in-person right now, we’ve created new ways & means to widen our connections:
Hosted dozens of member get-togethers via Zoom for Monday Mentoring, Friday Chamber Wrap Up, joint training opportunities, and round tables with our local leaders and elected officials.
Business Walks in Osoyoos, Oliver, and Okanagan Falls. It was great to see many of you and hear your challenges, successes and ideas to help shape our upcoming year.
Working regionally with a very strong chamber network to grow our Okanagan connections as well as promote local travel when safe.
Working with a growing crew of Small Town, Support Local Organizations whose focus is on Local Economic and Community Development.
Have you checked out our communications? Many are new or expanded for 2020 and we would love your feedback:
More frequent newsletters and eblasts with relevant information and opportunities
Increased social media to widen our reach and improve your business exposure
A new YouTube channel to promote our region and our members
We’ve added video into our communication mix to reach more people
Regular articles in the Times-Chronicle and Skaha Matters papers
Chamber Chats and advertising on EZ Rock Radio
Growing campaign to let people know about our #socommunitybuilders network and to share that the South Okanagan is an amazing place to live, work and play
All in all it has been a productive year for the Chamber and we are excited for our "Let's Warm up our Winter" Activities and all the other Community Activities that are happening safely around our communities this month. As we move into December and the year wraps up it is also Membership Renewal time.
It’s exciting to think about growing our Chamber network as we’re constantly evolving to better suit the needs of our members and local businesses. In response to many suggestions and requests, we’re working on our Membership Levels and we have added two new Categories to our existing options:
Business Accelerator - $750 per year
Community Champion - $1200 per year
These are local community investment categories to help support the work we do, support our communities, and to help you achieve your business goals. (Either of these would replace your regular membership as attached) Call or email us if you are interested and we will share more information about these community building opportunities to help grow our South Okanagan region.
We’ve attached your invoice – same price as last year. Please let us know if you have concerns paying your membership – we’d be happy to discuss flexible options as every membership matters and your business matters to our communities.
*Newsflash - If we receive payment by December 31st you will be entered to win some great prizes! More details to follow.
