• Board of Directors

  • Jamie Cox, Interim President

Gallagher Lake Resort (Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities)

    (250) 498-3358

At the age of 52, Jamie's first introduction to the Resort Industry was at the age of 13 at Kimberley Ski Resort.

Since that young start he has been in a managing position at 6 resorts in 6 different regions including, Hemlock Valley Ski Resort, Agassiz BC, Mount Seymour Resort in North Vancouver, Nakiska Resort, host of the 1988 Olympic Games, Lake Louise Alberta, Hudson Bay Mountain Resort, Smithers BC.

He took a small sabbatical to be with his father in his last years from 2008 to 2014 in Crawford Bay, where they built a 7000 sq. ft. full service grocery store which was greatly needed for the area. That project resulted with him having 5 years of education and experience in retail sales. In his previous career he had staff that took care of these departments, including accounting.  So now being in charge, he learned a lot of lessons fast.

Jamie presently manages Gallagher Lake Resort, and they are enjoying the largest growth for the resort from 9400 nights to 10150 in 2015. They have 11700 nights to date for 2016.

Jamie sat in the position of the 2nd Vice to the Chamber of Commerce of the Town of Smithers, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake.  He has recently been nominated to the Board of the British Columbia Camping and Lodging Association.  He looks forward to being a partner in the success of the South Okanagan.
