Corrie Adolph, President
Global Village Bed & Breakfast
Corrie has a Master's degree in professional communication. Prior to launching a successful training and consulting career, Corrie founded and ran several successful organizations and businesses including the Children's Wish Foundation of Alberta, Corrie Adolph Realty 2000 (one of Canada's first successful low fees real estate companies), and a national advocacy organization that lobbied the federal government. She also worked as a senior strategic communication advisor to the Department of National Defence. Corrie is committed to public service and volunteerism and also serves on the South Okanagan Similkameen MS Society. Corrie currently runs a successful Bed and Breakfast in Oliver that specializes in local, organic and gluten free food.
Jamie Cox, Vice President
Gallagher Lake Resort (Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities)
At the age of 52, Jamie's first introduction to the Resort Industry was at the age of 13 at Kimberley Ski Resort.
Since that young start he has been in a managing position at 6 resorts in 6 different regions including, Hemlock Valley Ski Resort, Agassiz BC, Mount Seymour Resort in North Vancouver, Nakiska Resort, host of the 1988 Olympic Games, Lake Louise Alberta, Hudson Bay Mountain Resort, Smithers BC.
He took a small sabbatical to be with his father in his last years from 2008 to 2014 in Crawford Bay, where they built a 7000 sq. ft. full service grocery store which was greatly needed for the area. That project resulted with him having 5 years of education and experience in retail sales. In his previous career he had staff that took care of these departments, including accounting. So now being in charge, he learned a lot of lessons fast.
Jamie presently manages Gallagher Lake Resort, and they are enjoying the largest growth for the resort from 9400 nights to 10150 in 2015. They have 11700 nights to date for 2016.
Jamie sat in the position of the 2nd Vice to the Chamber of Commerce of the Town of Smithers, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake. He has recently have been nominated to the Board of the British Columbia Camping and Lodging Association. He looks forward to being a partner in the success of the South Okanagan.
Carmine Maddalena - Treasurer
Sun Life Financial, Osoyoos
Carmine has been in the financial services industry since 1999. Carmine's primary goal is helping people to build and protect their savings with a proper mix of investment and insurance solutions. He has many years’ experience with running his own business and supporting business owners and people in achieving their goals and dreams. Carmine has been a long standing member of the South Okanagan Chamber.
Sara Amos, Secretary
Sara is a born and raised Oliverite! She has been surrounded by real estate her entire life which lead her to her current career as a Realtor®, shortly after obtaining her bachelor business administration (BBA) degree with UBCO/Okanagan College. Over the next 5 years Sara and her partner and twin sister will be taking over Amos Realty, thus maintaining the family company to its true spirit. Her specialties are real estate and property management, with future accreditations including strata management and broker's license. Sara loves getting involved in the community, helping it grow and flourish. She is looking forward to all the valuable future experiences that lie ahead in 2015.
Eileen McGinn, Director
Remax Realty Solutions Osoyoos
Senior Marketing Executive/Sales, Trainer with 30+ year career track record in marketing, sales, real estate, land development, housing and corporate training.
Eileen has worked at the executive level for leading corporate firms throughout Canada and the United Kingdom, and has established global networks. Ms. McGinn and the teams she led have received prestigious industry awards recognizing the excellence of their work.
Ms McGinn volunteered with the Cross Cancer Institute prior to re-locating to Osoyoos and is an active member of the National Look Good Feel Better Program for Cancer Survivors.
Grant Storzuk, Director
Osoyoos Physiotherapy & Active Living Centre
Grant was born and raised in Saskatchewan and has been enjoying beautiful BC since 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan through the college of Physiotherapy. Grant has been a physiotherapist since 2006, and practicing acupuncture and dry needling since 2011.
Grant took over ownership of the Osoyoos Physiotherapy Clinic 3 years ago and opened his second location in Oliver just over one year ago. He also works one day a week out of Midway.
Grant looks forward to being an active member of the Chamber and a strong member of the communities of Osoyoos and Oliver for many years to come.
