After obtaining an English degree from the University of Western Ontario, Brian Highley moved west to run international campaigns with Adbusters Media Foundation and work with employment assistance providers. He first moved to the South Okanagan in 2005, where he published success stories from our area in Okanagan Sun Magazine. He is now the regional sales representative with Aberdeen Publishing. Brian has served on the South Okanagan Chamber board since 2012 and was President in 2015.
Doug Lamb, Vice-President
Doug is an accomplished executive offering strategic marketing and leadership abilities including progressive experience in risk assessment and audit and management practices in personal, residential, and commercial lending. Doug has served as a former Director and President on Alberta chamber boards and was instrumental in helping create many business opportunities in the communities he served.

Veronica developed her business skills while working on more than fifty projects over nearly two decades in nearly every business setting, from small family businesses to not-for-profits, to all levels of government and multi-million dollar private enterprise. In addition to her BA in Recreation Management from the University of Alberta, she has pursued graduate work in Community and Economic Development and Adult Education and obtained numerous management and training certifications. Veronica and her husband, Al Belanger, settled in the South in 2016 and look forward to contributing to the vibrant business, community, and economic development work that is happening here.

Jamie has been in a management position at six resorts in six different regions, including Hemlock Valley Ski Resort, Mount Seymour Resort, Nakiska Resort, and Hudson Bay Mountain Resort. Jamie presently manages Gallagher Lake Resort and is enjoying the largest growth for the resort from 9400 nights to 10,150 in 2015 and more than 11,700 in 2016. Jamie sat in the position of the 2nd Vice at the Chamber of Commerce in the Town of Smithers and the position of President of the Chamber of Commerce on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake. He has recently been nominated to the Board of the British Columbia Camping and Lodging Association. He looks forward to being a partner in the success of the South Okanagan.
Deanie Foley-Gillespie, Director

Deanie owns Indigo Ridge Farm and grows several varieties of French and English lavender in BC's beautiful Okanagan Valley. In addition to lavender products, Indigo Ridge Farm sells vanilla extract, gourmet vanilla beans, hand-crafted waterglass candle lanterns, aromatherapy jewellery and inspirational hand-painted signs. Deanie has enjoyed a long term successful career in sales, marketing, and branding, and she looks forward to bringing her experience and expertise to both her new business and the South Okanagan Chamber.

Mike has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry as a manager, general manager, director and consultant. He has served as General Manager at Spirit Ridge Resort, Director for Destination Osoyoos, Treasurer for the NK’MIP Resort Assn, Chair for the Desert Live Executive Committee, and Founder & Chair for the Spirit of the Game Society. Most recently he has started his own consulting company and he currently is a councillor with the Town of Osoyoos.

Eileen has worked at the executive level for leading corporate firms throughout Canada and the United Kingdom and has established global networks. Ms. McGinn and the teams she led have received prestigious industry awards recognizing the excellence of their work.
Ms. McGinn volunteered with the Cross Cancer Institute prior to re-locating to Osoyoos and is an active member of the National Look Good Feel Better Program for Cancer Survivors.
Sara Amos, Director
Sara is a born and raised Oliverite! She has been surrounded by real estate her entire life which lead her to her current career as a Realtor® shortly after obtaining her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with UBCO/Okanagan College. Over the next five years Sara and her partner and twin sister will be taking over Amos Realty, thereby maintaining the family company to its true spirit. Her specialties are real estate and property management with future accreditations including strata management and broker's license. Sara loves getting involved in the community and helping it grow and flourish.
Peter McKenna, Director
Oliver Legion President; Chairperson for Oliver Food Bank
Peter is currently the President of the Oliver Legion and Chairperson for the Oliver Food Bank. He has many years experience on non-profit boards and was a director on the Surrey Board of Trade. He lives in Oliver and is semi-retired. In between all his community volunteer work, Peter does Security work throughout the year.

Alberto Veintimilla is a local businessman who owns Alberto’s Decorating Centre and Underfoot Flooring in Oliver with his wife, Tracy. Alberto began his career in the construction industry working as a project manager before earning a diploma in Building Construction Engineering Technology. He has served on various boards over the years, including the Oliver Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Paint and Decorating Retail Association (President 1999-2000). He was the Western Canada Chair of Sears Floor and Window Covering Centers in the early 2000s. Since arriving in Oliver in 1984, Alberto has continually expanded his business and invested in the local community as he believes strongly in supporting the local economy, local sustainability, and growth. He looks forward to working with the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce to support and promote business growth in Oliver, Osoyoos, and OK Falls.
