  • President, Greg Sol - CEO Osoyoos Credit Union

    Greg is a community-minded person by nature and is always striving for excellence when serving members and clients.  He has been in the Financial Services Industry for most of his career, with the last 4 years being at the Osoyoos Credit Union.  He has over 10 years serving on non-profit boards in the Okanagan and is excited to be part of the Chamber of Commerce.  

  •     Past President, Alberto Veintimilla - Alberto's Decorating & Underfoot Flooring, Oliver

    Alberto is a local businessman who owns Alberto’s Decorating Centre and Underfoot Flooring in Oliver with his wife, Tracy. Alberto began his career in the construction industry working as a project manager before earning a diploma in Building Construction Engineering Technology. He has served on various boards over the years, including the Oliver Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Paint and Decorating Retail Association (President 1999-2000). He was the Western Canada Chair of Sears Floor and Window Covering Centers in the early 2000s. Since arriving in Oliver in 1984, Alberto has continually expanded his business and invested in the local community as he believes strongly in supporting the local economy, local sustainability, and growth. He looks forward to working with the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce to support and promote business growth in Oliver,Osoyoos, and OK Falls.

    Vice President, Gail Scott – Community Economic Development Consultant, Oliver

    I am a seasoned Regional Economic Development professional with extensive experience leading and managing public administrations/operations, private sector projects, non-government agency programs, and not-for-profit organizations. I have been described by my colleagues as an energetic visionary with a talent for delivering enterprise excellence.  I retired in 2016 but soon found that retirement was not for me and I have been contracting out my services since 2016.  I am excited to work with the SO Chamber and its members throughout the South Okanagan region. 

  • Treasurer, Sara van der Hoeven – HR Manager, Watermark Beach Resort, Osoyoos

    Sara joined the Watermark Beach Resort in October of 2019 and she is excited to be part of the team in beautiful sunny Osoyoos.  Sara is an experienced HR Manager and strives to cultivate a company culture that truly cares about its people.  She is happy to put her name forward for the SO Chamber Board of Directors and to support the chamber in its mission of helping businesses and organizations in our region to thrive. She is also the proud new co-owner of Junction 3 Coffeehouse in Osoyoos.

  • Director, George Machado - TreeHuggers Services & Removals, Oliver

    George has been an business owner for many years. Starting off with Agriculture/Residential/Off grid and Custom tractor work services.  Now most recently adding Excavating Yard and Garden Services, Junk and Brush Removals. He looks forward to working with the team at the Chamber to best support the local businesses.

  • Director, Jim Georgeson -  Manager, Okanagan Falls Center for Dentistry

    Jim is excited to represent Okanagan Falls and area on the board of the Chamber. He helps run the Okanagan Falls Centre for Dentistry and they are happy to provide dental services to the community.

  • Director, Helen Shemilt - Interior Savings Credit Union Okanagan Falls
    My name is Helen Shemilt, I am the Branch Manager at Interior Savings in Okanagan Falls.  I have been Branch Manager since 2013 and worked at Interior Savings over 30 years.  I have five grown children and eight grandchildren.
    Currently, I volunteer in my community with the local Helping Hand, we provide Emergency Hampers and Christmas Hampers to those in need.  My speciality is the toy committee for the children. I also volunteer my time attending the Okanagan Falls Community Partners meetings.  At our meetings, we meet to discuss local Community Group events, issues and anything that is a concern in our Community. I grew up in Oliver, moving to Okanagan Falls in 1991.  Growing up my family had several businesses in Oliver.  I look forward to representing the Community of Okanagan Falls at the Chamber of Commerce South Okanagan.
  • Mike Johnson, Experience Manager, Tinhorn Creek, Oliver

    Mike is originally from Ontario and moved to the South Okanagan in April of 2019.  He has his Undergrad in Business and Politics and Wine Business Management and is excited to have joined the Tinhorn Creek team.  Fun facts about Mike are that he was on the Varsity Cheerleading Team and he was a participant in Season 3 of MasterChef Canada.  Mike is eager to bring his education and skills to the SO Chamber and looks forward to meeting Chamber members and businesses this year. 

  • Davinder Sandhu, Realtor, Century 21 Premier Properties, Osoyoos

    Davinder and his family have lived in the Okanagan since October 2008. They are a very active family with 2 young sons being involved in soccer, swimming and hockey. Davinder has worked in both Orchards and Vineyards and he has worked in a local fruit packing plant as a Quality Manager.   Davinder has his Bachelor of Commerce as well as his Masters in Computer Science.  Recently, he completed his Realtor License in July of 2019 and is part of the Century 21 Premier Properties team in Osoyoos.  He looks forward to working with the Chamber and local businesses in the South Okanagan.

  • Director, Bob Urbanovitch - Branch Manager, Interior Savings Credit Union Oliver
    Bob has been in the Financial Services Industry for most of his career and prides himself on coaching people to financial success.  He looks forward to supporting the Chamber and the South Okanagan region on the path to economic prosperity and community well being.
