Indigenous Child & Youth Counsellor

Desert Sun Counselling and Resource Centre is looking for an Indigenous Child and Youth Counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will be a person who cares deeply about children and youth and who are easily able to build relationships and trust with children of all ages. The successful candidate will be able to incorporate traditional healing into their work and should have some indigenous ancestry. A knowledge of local indigenous culture and traditions will be an asset. This will be a fifteen hour per week position and the successful candidate will work in local elementary and high schools in SD53. Minimum qualifications will be a degree in counselling or a related field with experience in working with children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
