We are currently seeking a Finance and Human Resources Manager to join our team. This key position supports the administrative needs of the club and ensures excellent service for our valued members and guests.
Position Overview
The Finance and Human Resources Manager is a key leadership role at Osoyoos Golf Club. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with all departments, this position oversees financial operations, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human resources, and administrative support functions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to balance financial management with people-focused HR leadership.
This is a highly visible role that requires excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, member-service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including budgeting, reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management.
- Manage and monitor Food & Beverage and Pro Shop inventory control systems, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Administer payroll, benefits, employee records, and government remittances.
- Lead HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Chair the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC), ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Support administrative functions such as membership services, records management, technology coordination, and compliance reporting.
- Serve as a backup to the Accounting Clerk/Membership Coordinator as required.
- Assist with the annual audit and maintain accurate, secure financial records.
Qualifications
- Accounting designation (CPA preferred) or equivalent education/experience in accounting, finance, or business management.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in finance and HR, preferably in a hospitality, golf, or club environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, accounts payable/receivable, accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks), and HR legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; POS or club management software experience an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, members, and external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
